Institute Aims to Spread Sanitation Awareness Among Workers, Residents

GAMHARIA – Students of the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR) in the Adityapur industrial area carried out a cleanliness drive on Saturday as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada being observed at the institute.
During the drive, students not only carried out cleaning work but also made an effort to raise awareness among workers in the surrounding area regarding cleanliness. They also appealed to people to maintain cleanliness at their homes and in nearby localities.
IDTR general manager Ravindra Kumar, who was present on the occasion, said all forms of cleanliness are essential for good health, whether personal, environmental, or related to the workplace, schools and colleges.
He said keeping one’s surroundings clean not only helps maintain a clean environment but also protects against several diseases. He advised the students to encourage others to join the campaign as well.
The programme was led by IDTR’s admin associate cum media in-charge Pankaj Kumar. He said the Swachhta Pakhwada, being observed from July 30 to August 13, would see different activities organized every day.
He added that the objective was to ensure the campaign does not remain limited to an event, but becomes part of people’s daily lives so that they adopt it as a habit.
The event was attended by institute officials O.P. Pandey, Bablu Pal, Himanshu Shekhar, Amit Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Umesh Rajak, along with a large number of students.
