Six editors from top management journals to engage with doctoral scholars

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI – Xavier School of Management is set to host the AOM–XLRI Doctoral Colloquium 2026 at its Jamshedpur campus.
The event will bring together editors and scholars from globally recognized academic journals. It is aimed at engaging the doctoral research community through structured academic interaction.
A central feature of the colloquium will be a “Meet the Editors” session. Participants will get a chance to interact directly with editors and editorial board members from several reputed journals.
These publications include the Academy of Management Perspectives, the Academy of Management Learning & Education, and the Academy of Management Annals. The Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Discoveries and the Journal of International Business Studies will also be represented.
Six editors and editorial board members are scheduled to take part in the session. Oana Branzei, Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Perspectives, will be among the panel.
Simy Joy, Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Learning & Education, will also participate. Vijaya Venkataramani, Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Annals, will join the discussion as well.
Martin Kilduff, who serves on the editorial boards of both the Academy of Management Review and the Academy of Management Discoveries, is also listed as a participant. Michael L. Barnett, Editor-in-Chief of the Academy of Management Perspectives, will attend in that capacity.
Elizabeth Rose, Editor of the Research Methods in Applied Contexts section at the Journal of International Business Studies, completes the panel lineup. Prashant Kumar is the convenor of the colloquium.
According to XLRI, the colloquium is designed to foster research excellence among doctoral scholars. The institute said the event reflects its continued focus on strengthening the doctoral research ecosystem.
XLRI Jamshedpur, established in 1949, is one of India’s oldest business schools. It is run by the Jesuit order and is known for its programs in human resource management and general management.
