Induction Ceremony Marked the Beginning of a New Academic Journey

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI launched its 2026-28 academic session with an induction ceremony, welcoming 441 students from diverse backgrounds into its management and doctoral programmes.

The ceremony took place at Tata Auditorium.

Students began their academic journey through the induction event.

Moreover, participants came from various regions and backgrounds.

The new batch included students from India and abroad.

Admissions covered BM, HRM, LSCM, FPM, and BM International.

Furthermore, the programme opened with a traditional lamp-lighting ritual.

The ceremony symbolised learning and wisdom.

Prayers were also offered from several religious texts.

Readings included the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible.

Moreover, passages from the Guru Granth Sahib were recited.

Verses from the Holy Quran were also presented.

Students, parents, faculty, and staff joined the gathering.

They prayed for knowledge and ethical leadership.

Additionally, they sought prosperity for the institution.

A commitment ceremony was also conducted.

Students took the XLRI Honour Pledge.

Furthermore, they reaffirmed ethical conduct and honesty.

The pledge also stressed inclusion and academic integrity.

Director Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George addressed the gathering.

He spoke about trust and empathy in leadership.

Moreover, he encouraged curiosity and collaborative learning.

He also urged students to contribute positively to society.

Academic Dean Dr. Sanjay Patro addressed the new entrants.

He described the occasion as a significant milestone.
