In a series of surprise raids, the Jamshedpur Excise Department has recovered 8 liters of beer from various establishments in the Bistupur area and along the Odisha border, as per sources. The department is gearing up for further action against the offenders.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Excise Department has seized 8 liters of beer during surprise raids conducted in Bistupur and at hotels and dhabas along the highway near the Odisha border, sources revealed. The department is preparing to register cases and take action against the culprits.
According to departmental sources, the raids were carried out on the instructions of the Assistant Excise Commissioner in light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The surprise inspections targeted line hotels, dhabas, and other establishments located in Tiring, Rasunchopa, Haldipokhar, and Potka police station areas, as well as Jamshedpur’s Bistupur.
During the operation, officials recovered a total of 8 liters of beer from various locations.
The department is now gearing up for further action against the offenders involved in the illegal possession of alcohol.
Sources indicated that cases will be registered against the guilty individuals, and appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the law.
The recent raids have sent a clear message that the Excise Department is vigilant and committed to curbing any illicit activities related to alcohol in the district.
