JAMSHEDPUR – In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Jamshedpur Excise Department has been actively targeting illegal liquor sales.
Recently, raids were conducted in Ghatshila rural area, Benasul village, and Badi Jodi village under Musabani police station.
During these operations, a total of 88 bottles of foreign liquor, each containing 25 liters, were confiscated.
The smuggler managed to evade capture, and efforts to locate him are ongoing.
In addition to the liquor, a motorcycle bearing the registration number JH05CM5476 was also recovered from the scene.
The crackdown was based on confidential information received by the Excise Department.
Officials have confirmed that these actions will continue in the lead-up to the elections to ensure compliance with the law.
