JAMSHEDPUR – With the temperature dropping sharply, the youth-led organization Voice of Humanity conducted a late-night drive to distribute blankets and sweaters to hundreds of homeless elderly and children. The initiative focused on those sleeping on streets and footpaths under the open sky.

The campaign covered several areas in Jamshedpur, including Sakchi, Kadma, Sonari, Bistupur, Jugsalai, Sidhgora, Telco, Mango, Dimna, Station, Parsudih, and Baridih. The team’s efforts brought smiles to the faces of the underprivileged, who were visibly relieved from the freezing cold.

Preventing Cold-Related Deaths

The organization’s founder, Hari Singh, stated that severe cold claims numerous lives in the city every year. Recognizing this pressing issue, the campaign was launched to ensure no life is lost due to harsh weather. He assured that such initiatives would continue in the future to help the vulnerable survive the winter.

Active Participation from Volunteers

The distribution program saw active involvement from team members, including Hari Singh Rajput, Mohan, Ajay, Gagandeep, Vivek, Aman, Raunak, Abhishek, Alok, Sandeep, Ashish, Upendra, Happy, Bivas, Rahul, Mahesh, Roshan, Bablu, Vikas, and others. Their collective efforts ensured the successful execution of the drive across the city.

The campaign stands as a reflection of community-driven action, bringing much-needed relief to those battling the winter cold.
