Brother Sandeep Kumar Yadav Testifies in Shanky Yadav Murder Case

Eyewitness Account Reveals Brutal Attack and Murder of Shanky Yadav

Sandeep Kumar Yadav, brother of the victim Shanky Yadav, testified in court about the brutal attack and murder near Ulidih Kharia Basti in Jamshedpur on October 1, 2020.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sandeep Kumar Yadav, the younger brother and informant in the murder case of Shanky Yadav, testified before the court on Tuesday.

In the court of ADJ-4 Anand Mani Tripathi, Sandeep recounted the events of the evening of October 1, 2020.

Sandeep stated that he was at Cyber Enterprises in Dimna Transport Nagar at 6 pm when he heard gunshots.

Upon reaching the roof of the office, he witnessed Rajesh Singh, Rohan Singh, Shubham Singh, Deepak Lohar, Shekhar Dixit, and Mithilesh chasing Shanky Yadav and attacking him with bricks and stones.

After Shanky fell, the assailants continued to hit him with baseball bats and stones.

Rajesh Singh then ran over Shanky with a Tata Safari car three times.

Sandeep immediately called his mother, informing her to go and see that they had killed his brother.

His mother and sister arrived at the scene shortly after, followed by Sandeep, who found his brother dead.

During cross-examination, Sandeep mentioned that Shanky had bought a bus ticket to go to their village in Siwan, but he was unaware of which bus Shanky intended to take.

He noted that the police did not question him after he filed the complaint.

Sandeep also mentioned that all the accused lived in their colony, so he knew them beforehand.

The incident spot was about 10-15 meters from his office.

In the FIR, Sandeep stated that on the evening of the incident, Shanky had left for the village.

According to him, the accused, including Rajesh Singh, Rohan Singh, Shubham Singh, Deepak Lohar, Shekhar Dixit, and Mithilesh, chased Shanky from near Baliguma in a Tata Safari and Scooty, eventually catching up to him near Kharia Colony.

He said that they then crushed him to death and threw two pistols in front of him to frame him.

According to him, the motive for the murder was a quarrel Shanky had with Rajesh and Rohan, who had previously threatened to kill Shanky and Deepak.

The accused in this case are Shubham Singh, Chandra Shekhar Rakshit, Rohan Singh, Uttam Lohar alias Deepu alias Vishwakarma, Rajesh Singh, and Santosh Tiwari alias Mithilesh.
