Slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ Ring Out at Durga Puja Ground Amid Storm

JAMSHEDPUR — A large-scale Hindu Sammelan was held at the Durga Puja ground in Baridih Market on Sunday, drawing a significant crowd despite heavy rain and a storm, as part of a nationwide series of events marking the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The event was organised by Akhilesh Chaudhary. It was part of the RSS centenary celebrations being held across the country. The primary aim of the gathering was to mobilise, unite, and raise awareness within Hindu society.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Jamshedpur were present on the dais. RSS Vibhag Pracharak Satya Prakash was also among those on the stage. Several other dignitaries attended the programme.
Satya Prakash addressed the gathering and said that history bears witness to the fact that whenever Hindu society has been fragmented, it has faced grave hardships. He referred to foreign invasions and internal divisions, saying that unity and awareness are essential in the present times.
Other speakers invoked the memory of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar during their addresses. “A Hindu, as long as he remains a Hindu, is ever ready to lay down his life for the protection of India,” a speaker said, paraphrasing Savarkar’s philosophy. The audience was urged to place the motherland above all else and work in the national interest.
Meanwhile, organiser Akhilesh Chaudhary remarked with a touch of humour that even the rain god appeared in a different avatar that day. He noted that despite a severe downpour and gusty winds, the crowd remained firmly in place throughout the programme. Chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” reverberated across the venue all evening.
Speakers at the cultural congregation described Hindu society not merely as a religious community but as a symbol of a rich civilisational and spiritual tradition that binds the nation together. A special appeal was directed at the youth to remain rooted in their culture and tradition and to play an active role in the upliftment of society.
The event concluded with a collective pledge among all attendees to uphold the unity, integrity, and patriotism of Hindu society. The programme ended with resounding chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
