Police raid in Kedo village leads to arrest of two accused with stolen items

JAMSHEDPUR – Sundernagar Police apprehended two individuals during a raid in Kedo village yesterday. The suspects were caught while attempting to flee with construction materials from an under-construction culvert.

The accused, identified as N Raj of Gadra and A Verma of Rahargora, both belong to the Parsudih police jurisdiction. The arrests followed a tip-off received by Sunder Nagar Police Station In-Charge Shankar Kushwaha from the contractor overseeing the construction project.

Arrest Details and Recovered Items

Police acted swiftly after receiving the information and managed to intercept the suspects. They seized a motorbike, a pickup van, a generator, and construction materials used for centering work during the operation. The accused were reportedly loading the stolen items into the van when caught.

Police Efforts Applauded

An official from Sundernagar Police remarked, “This operation showcases our commitment to combating theft and safeguarding public property.” The timely intervention prevented further loss of materials and ensured that the culprits were brought to justice.

Further investigations are underway to determine if the suspects are linked to other theft cases in the region.
