JAMSHEDPUR – The city’s November traffic enforcement drive led to 548 license suspensions and collected Rs 14.53 lakh in fines.

District officials intensified traffic violation checks across Jamshedpur last month.

“We are taking strict action against traffic rule violators,” stated a senior traffic official.

Meanwhile, authorities issued 1,911 new driving licenses.

The campaign targeted helmetless riding and seatbelt violations.

Road Safety Initiatives

A high-level meeting discussed comprehensive safety measures.

District Magistrate Ananya Mittal chaired the discussion.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal attended the session.

November witnessed 25 road accidents with 15 fatalities.

Infrastructure Development

The narrow bridge near Dimna Chowk will undergo reconstruction.

A new service road project will begin in Baharagora this month.

NHAI must inspect all highway bridges promptly.

The completion target for the Baharagora project is nine months.

Urban Traffic Management

Officials mandated uniforms for auto drivers.

Auto-rickshaws must now use designated stands only.

Authorities will remove abandoned buses from Mango bus stand.

The administration targets illegal parking at key locations.

CCTV cameras will monitor highway speed violations.
