East Singhbhum District Open Chess Championship from July 16

Participants Aged 6 to 60 to Compete at JRD Tata Sports Complex

East Singhbhum District Chess Association will host the District Open Chess Championship from July 16 to 18 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, featuring participants aged 6 to 60.

JAMSHEDPUR – The District Open Chess Championship will be hosted by the East Singhbhum District Chess Association from July 16 to 18. The tournament will take place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

People of all ages, from 6 to 60, will have the opportunity to compete for a variety of prizes.

The championship will also be used to select the East Singhbhum Senior District Chess Team.

The team that has been chosen consists of four women and four men. They will be representing our district in the Senior State Chess Championship, which will take place in Ranchi from July 20 to 23.

The lucky winner of the open category will be rewarded with a generous cash prize of ₹5000 along with a shiny trophy, while the second-place finisher will receive a respectable amount of ₹3500.

The winners who secure the third and fourth positions will be awarded ₹2000 and ₹1000, respectively, in addition to receiving trophies.

In addition, the top 20 players in the open category will be awarded cash prizes.

Trophies will be given to the top three winners in the age groups of under-6, 8, 10, 12, and 14.

The total prize money for the competition is ₹21,500.

You can submit your entries for the championship to the district association by July 15.

The tournament is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM on July 16.
