JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum district administration has intensified election preparations with stringent security measures and restrictions ahead of the November 13 polls.
District Election Officer Ananya Mittal has implemented a mandatory silence period before the elections.
The prohibition will remain effective from 5 pm on November 11 until the polling concludes.
Meanwhile, authorities have banned all alcohol-related activities during the 48-hour dry period.
Moreover, surveillance teams have already confiscated contraband worth over Rs 10 crore.
In addition, various checkpoints have intercepted illegal cash, drugs, and gifts.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal is overseeing the security arrangements.
Furthermore, polling personnel will depart from Co-operative College and LBSM College on November 12.
On the other hand, the district has established 1,913 polling stations for voters.
Subsequently, all electronic voting machines will be stored at Co-operative College after polling ends.
