BVG Management Settles Compensation for Deceased Employee’s Family

BVG Company compensated the family of Manoj Kumar, an employee who died in an accident near Tata Motors’ Jojobera South Gate, with ₹15 lakh through an LIC policy and additional gratuity payments.

JAMSHEDPUR – On March 7, Manoj Kumar, an employee of BVG Company, died in an accident involving a container near Tata Motors’ Jojobera South Gate.

Following his death, the family pressured the company for compensation.

In response, the management promptly decided to provide compensation and settlement amounts to Kumar’s widow as per company policy.

On Monday, in the presence of the deceased’s wife and family, the BVG management handed over ₹15 lakh through an LIC policy.

This policy ensures a monthly payment of ₹8,000 to Kumar’s widow for life, with the ₹15 lakh principal remaining secured in LIC.

Additionally, the management provided a cheque for ₹91,060 as the final settlement for Kumar’s gratuity.

BVG officials issued a statement highlighting that the compensation provided sets a benchmark, being the highest ever given to a contract employee by any contractor company.

Kumar’s widow expressed her gratitude to BVG management for their support.

Attendees included community members Sanjay Malakar, Hemant Khalko, Dina Prasad, and Pramod Prasad, along with company representatives Raju Singh, Satish Singh, Mithilesh Singh, Santosh Kumar, Ramprasad, and Soni Kayasth.

Raju Singh of BVG issued a statement acknowledging the irreplaceable loss of Manoj Kumar and assured that BVG remains committed to promptly settling all dues of its workers.

He urged workers to avoid middlemen and directly approach the management for any due payments.
