BJP Jamshedpur Faces Internal Turmoil Over Social Media Dispute
Party differences heat up as BJYM Media In-charge Monty Agarwal accuses Jamshedpur Mahanagar President of unfair pressure.
A rift has emerged within the BJP Jamshedpur unit after disciplinary actions by District President Sudhanshu Ojha, leading to heated exchanges.
JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP Jamshedpur unit is experiencing internal strife following disciplinary actions taken by District President Sudhanshu Ojha against two party members.
Monty Agarwal, District Media In-charge of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), has publicly criticized Jamshedpur Metropolitan President Sudhanshu Ojha.
In a press statement, Agarwal claimed that Ojha pressured him to use his personal social media ID instead of his official ID to post about BJP activities and leaders.
Agarwal stated, "I am an active worker of BJP social media, posting about popular MP Bidyut Mahato, former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, and Central Government’s welfare schemes from my ID."
He alleged that his refusal to comply with Ojha’s demand of running his personal social media ID led to his suspension.
Sudhanshu Ojha had earlier suspended Monty Agarwal and BJYM IT Cell In-charge Ashish Kumar Sahu for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities, issuing show cause notices to both.
This move has intensified the internal discord within the party.
The disciplinary action and subsequent accusations have sparked significant tension, raising concerns about unity within the BJP’s Jamshedpur unit.
The situation has drawn attention to the management of social media and internal communication within the party.
Party members and supporters are closely monitoring the developments.
