BJP Faces Criticism Over Ram Temple Construction Issues
JMM Leader Alleges Corruption in Ayodhya Temple Project
Reports of water leakage at the newly consecrated Ram Temple in Ayodhya spark political controversy, with opposition targeting BJP’s handling of the project.
RANCHI – JMM central general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has launched a scathing attack on the BJP and UP government following reports of water seepage at the recently inaugurated Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
"The temple’s Mahant, Satyendra Das, confirmed water dripping from the roof with no proper drainage in the sanctum sanctorum," Bhattacharya stated. "It’s disheartening to see Ramlala exposed to rain in a supposedly sacred space."
The JMM leader highlighted that Shankaracharya had previously declined to perform the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the incomplete temple.
Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhattacharya remarked, "The PM’s haste in consecrating an unfinished temple has led to these issues. Even the newly constructed Rampath collapsed after the first rain."
He further alleged corruption in the temple’s construction, saying, "This is a unique example of BJP’s corruption, not sparing even God. The party prioritizes corruption over divinity."
"With the monsoon season ahead, one can only imagine the potential damage," Bhattacharya added. "It’s concerning that no BJP leader has acknowledged the poor construction quality or the alleged embezzlement of funds."
The JMM spokesperson also pointed out BJP’s recent electoral losses in areas associated with Lord Ram’s journey, suggesting it as divine retribution for misusing religious sentiments.
This controversy has reignited debates about the temple’s construction process and the mixing of religion with politics in India.
