Chandil Police Station Officer-in-charge Transferred to Barracks
Kolhan DIG transfers Chandil police chief following illicit alcohol plant raid in Chandil.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Special Raid Team, led by the Chandil station in-charge and in conjunction with the Excise Department and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, executed a well-planned raid on the evening of July 14th.
Birigoda, a neighborhood in Chandil’s Dalma region, was the center of attention following a confidential report revealing the existence of an unlawful liquor business.
Ajay Linda, Kolhan DIG, was the one who had received the intelligence.
Armed with this knowledge, he organized a professional team to conduct the raid.
The clandestine liquor factory was successfully dismantled as a result of their operation.
The officers confiscated 1100 cases of alcohol during the operation and arrested seven individuals.
A case has been filed, with 15 persons named as defendants.
Ajit Kumar, Chandil police station’s in-charge, was transferred to the police barrack by the Kolhan DIG in an impactful step.
This decision came after the DIG found information hinting at the unbecoming role of the concerned police officer incharge.
Ajay Linda, Kolhan DIG, had previously directed the superintendent of police in Seraikela Kharsawan district to initiate disciplinary action against the Chandil police station officer-in-charge.
Now the officer-in-charge has been sent to police barracks.
