Jharkhand’s Lok Sabha Elections Heat Up With High-Profile Campaigns and Visits by Key Leaders
The election fervor in Jharkhand is escalating as the Lok Sabha elections progress, with notable campaigns and visits by prominent political leaders.
RANCHI – The election atmosphere in Jharkhand has intensified with the commencement of the Lok Sabha elections.
The second phase of voting is scheduled for May 20, followed by the third phase on May 25.
Elections will be conducted in Chatra, Koderma, and Hazaribagh on May 20, while Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, and Giridih will vote on May 25.
The nationwide fifth phase will coincide with Jharkhand’s second phase on May 20, and the sixth phase will align with the third phase on May 25.
The final phase across the country is set for June 1, with voting in Rajmahal, Dumka, and Godda.
Preparations have reached a fever pitch as parties ramp up their campaigns.
Sources indicate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on May 19.
He will campaign in Ghatshila, supporting BJP candidate Vidyut Varan Mahato from the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.
Previously, Modi campaigned in Chaibasa, Giridih, Palamu, and Chatra.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also slated to visit Jharkhand for two days.
He will lead a roadshow in Chutia, Ranchi on May 17 and campaign in Bokaro on May 18.
Earlier, Shah addressed an election meeting in Khunti.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be in Jamshedpur to support Kalpana Soren, Hemant Soren’s wife, in the Gandey assembly by-election.
Kejriwal will speak at a rally in Bistupur Gopal Maidan on May 16.
Additionally, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is expected to campaign in Jharkhand.
She may hold a rally in Dhanbad on May 17, according to sources.
As the election dates draw nearer, the political landscape in Jharkhand is becoming increasingly dynamic.
