JAMSHEDPUR – In a proactive move to guarantee the integrity of the upcoming elections, District Election Officer Ananya Mittal conducted surprise inspections at several critical election-related establishments.

The unscheduled visits were designed to evaluate the readiness and adherence to protocols by the staff and officials involved in the electoral process.

Mittal meticulously examined the arrangements at the postal ballot polling station, ensuring that the setup met the required standards and guidelines.

She was accompanied by senior officials during her inspection of the postal ballot strong room, where they thoroughly assessed the security measures in place to safeguard the ballots and maintain their integrity.

Recognizing the importance of curbing the spread of misinformation and undue influence, Mittal visited the Media and MCMC Cell and Material Cell.

She instructed the staff to vigilantly monitor paid news, political advertisements, and any attempts to manipulate public opinion through social media platforms.

The District Election Officer also reviewed the approvals granted for various campaign activities, advertisements, and media content related to political parties and candidates.

This scrutiny aimed to ensure compliance with the Model Code of Conduct and prevent any unfair practices or violations.

Mittal’s hands-on approach and meticulous inspections underscore the Election Commission’s commitment to conducting elections that are transparent, impartial, and free from any undue influence.
