Voters on Election Duty and Essential Services Cast 251 Postal Ballots on Third Day

118 votes cast from Singhbhum, 55 from Khunti, 33 from Lohardaga, and 34 from Palamu constituencies in the fourth phase

On the third day of voting, a total of 251 individuals exercised their right to vote through postal ballot, including voters on election duty and those associated with essential services.

JAMSHEDPUR – The third day of voting saw 251 persons casting their votes through postal ballot, comprising voters deputed for election work and individuals involved in essential services.

Two polling centers have been set up to facilitate voting for these specific groups of voters – one at the SDO office in Dhalbhum for those on election duty, and another at the ITDA office for essential service voters.

Among the constituencies participating in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, the SDO office polling center recorded 118 votes from Singhbhum parliamentary constituency, 55 from Khunti, 33 from Lohardaga, and 34 from Palamu.

The ITDA office polling center witnessed an additional 11 votes being cast.

The provision of postal ballot ensures that voters who are unable to visit their designated polling stations due to election-related responsibilities or essential service duties can still participate in the democratic process.

The election authorities have taken necessary measures to facilitate the voting process for these individuals, ensuring that their votes are cast securely and counted along with the regular votes.

The fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections is currently underway, with voters from various constituencies exercising their right to choose their representatives in the Parliament.

The final turnout figures for postal ballots will be compiled and announced by the election authorities after the completion of the voting process.
