Jamshedpur Election Officials Enhance Voter Outreach with Information Slips

District Election Team Reviews Distribution Process Across Key Neighborhoods

In a rigorous initiative led by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, Jamshedpur’s election team is enhancing voter outreach by distributing comprehensive Voter Information Slips ahead of the upcoming elections. This effort is part of a broader strategy to ensure every eligible voter is well-informed and encouraged to participate on voting day.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Mittal, together with Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, recently inspected various neighborhoods such as Sidgora, Agrico, and Bhaalubasa to monitor the progress of the Voter Information Slips distribution that began on May 7th.

The goal is to complete this distribution by May 13th, ensuring full coverage across the electorate.

The Voter Information Slips are crucial for helping residents understand the voting process. They feature essential details like the voter’s part number and name in the electoral roll, serial number, polling station name, voting date, and a QR code for quick access to information.

On the reverse, each slip provides a map to the polling station, contact details for the Booth Level Officer, a list of alternative documents accepted for voting, and other vital instructions.

Additionally, visually appealing voter guides are being handed out, illustrating how to use Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and detailing services offered by the Election Commission such as various voter assistance apps.

Special attention is also given to facilitating voter registration and providing support for the differently-abled and senior citizens through postal ballot options and assisted voting.

Booth Level Officers, assigned to 1,887 polling stations within the district, are conducting door-to-door visits not only to distribute the slips and guides but also to personally engage with voters and encourage their participation in the elections scheduled for May 25th.

This targeted outreach underscores a commitment by Jamshedpur’s electoral officials to ensure a smooth and inclusive voting process, empowering every citizen with the information and support needed to cast their vote effectively.
