JSSP Students Embrace Sustainability During Earth Week Celebrations

JUSCO School South Park hosted a vibrant Earth Week celebration, engaging over 2000 students in activities promoting sustainability and waste reduction.

JAMSHEDPUR – JUSCO School South Park hosted a vibrant Earth Week celebration, engaging over 2000 students in activities promoting sustainability and waste reduction.

Principal Mili Sinha highlighted the importance of individual actions in contributing to a greener future during her speech at the event.

Students from Std IX-XII made a striking statement with a ramp walk in outfits made from recyclable materials, advocating for a sustainable lifestyle.

A Cyclothon involving students of Std VII & VIII took to the streets of Bistupur with placards, merging fitness with environmental activism.

The youngest learners participated in themed fancy dress events, dressing as flowers, aquatic animals, land animals, birds, and more, emphasizing the diversity of nature.

Older students engaged in hands-on activities like sapling planting, book making, and creating planters from ice cream sticks, demonstrating practical ways to reuse and recycle.

Middle and high school students teamed up with KORU Foundation to manage and segregate waste, collecting and categorizing recyclable materials effectively.

The activities ranged from creative showcases to physical involvement in environmental causes, each designed to foster an understanding of sustainable living among students.

This series of events served to educate and inspire students on the critical theme of ‘Planet Versus Plastic,’ aiming to reduce plastic usage and embrace sustainable habits.
