NCERT Books Now Available Online Through E-commerce Platform

Schools Can No Longer Force Parents to Buy Textbooks from Specific Vendors

Key Points:

* Ministry of Education partners with e-commerce firm for online NCERT textbook sales

* 364 books in Hindi, English, and Urdu available at MRP

* Move aims to end monopolistic practices by private schools

JAMSHEDPUR – The Ministry of Education has revolutionized textbook distribution by enabling online purchase of NCERT books through an e-commerce partnership.

Parents will now have the freedom to purchase textbooks from their homes.

Meanwhile, the initiative covers a vast collection of 364 NCERT publications.

Moreover, the books are available in three major languages – Hindi, English, and Urdu.

On the other hand, the move targets the elimination of forced purchases from school-designated vendors.

Furthermore, all books will be sold strictly at Maximum Retail Price.

In addition, the system supports educational reforms from kindergarten through grade 12.

However, a knowledgeable source indicated that this would significantly reduce financial strain on parents.

Besides, the platform ensures equal access to educational materials for all students.
