Disabled Voters in Jamshedpur Get Special Focus for Lok Sabha Elections

JAMSHEDPUR – A significant workshop was organized at Town Hall, Sidhgora, to boost disabled voters’ participation in the upcoming elections.
District Magistrate Ananya Mittal was at the forefront, advocating for the disabled community’s active voting.
Mittal also led the voter’s oath, emphasizing the importance of every vote.
The workshop highlighted the Election Commission’s initiatives for disabled voters.
These include PWD-friendly facilities, Braille on EVMs, and home voting options.
Officials urged disabled individuals to register and utilize their voting rights.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar was among the key speakers.
Project Director ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary and SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha also motivated the attendees.
Five disabled individuals were recognized for their societal contributions.
Additionally, five were named PWD Icons to inspire others for the elections.
A Voter Awareness Rath was launched to educate urban residents on voting’s significance.
