JAMSHEDPUR – An interfaith couple who fled from Jamshedpur has been safely located in Medinipur, West Bengal, with authorities refuting claims of the youth’s Bangladeshi origin.

The incident unfolded in the Sonari police station area late yesterday.

A team was promptly formed to locate the couple.

On the other hand, the City SP addressed the situation, clarifying details about the case.

The couple was successfully traced to Medinipur, West Bengal.

Moreover, investigations revealed that the young man hails from Medinipur itself.

The City SP firmly denied allegations of the youth being Bangladeshi.

However, it was confirmed that the young man works as a carpenter for a builder in Jamshedpur.

In addition, both individuals were brought to Sonari police station for further questioning.

The girl’s statement has been recorded in court as part of the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, it has come to light that the couple belongs to different religious communities.

The young man is from the Muslim community, while the girl is Hindu.

Furthermore, the City SP reiterated that the youth is not of Bangladeshi origin.

This clarification comes in response to claims made by Hindu organizations yesterday.

Besides, authorities are conducting a thorough examination of the entire matter.
