Comprehensive Review Meeting on Vote Counting Preparations Held in Jamshedpur

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal Emphasizes Smooth and Transparent Electoral Process

A comprehensive review meeting on the preparations for the counting of votes was convened under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Ananya Mittal in the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Mittal, the District Election Officer, led a thorough review meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place for the upcoming vote counting process.

The meeting centered around important preparations needed to ensure a seamless vote counting process.

We talked about different logistical details, like where candidates and their representatives will sit on campus, where to park vehicles, and how to give out identity cards for counting agents.

Other areas that were given attention were the cleanliness of the premises, making sure there was drinking water available, setting up mobile toilets, installing CCTV cameras, recording the counting process on video, ensuring there was internet connectivity, setting up a miking system, establishing a control room, and creating a media center.

Mittal stressed the significance of keeping things organized at the counting location.

He explained that in addition to the group of people responsible for counting the votes at each table, there would also be a separate team available to handle any unforeseen problems that might arise during the vote count.

The director instructed all Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) and in-charge officers to ensure that they promptly and effectively complete all preparations related to the counting.

Mittal emphasized the importance of every officer fully comprehending their individual roles and responsibilities in order to guarantee a smooth counting process.

The vote counting will begin at 8 AM, starting with the counting of postal ballots, followed by the counting of votes recorded in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Notable officials in attendance included Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, ADM Law & Order Anant Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Sinha, Additional Municipal Commissioner Mango Municipal Corporation Ranjit Lohara, Director NEP Ajay Sahu, Deputy Municipal Commissioner JNAC Krishna Kumar, District Planning Officer Arun Dwivedi, Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh, SDO Dhalbhum Parul Singh, SDO Ghatsila Sachchidanand Mahato, District Public Relations Officer Panchanan Oraon, and Assistant Director Social Security Neha Sanjana Khalkho, among others.

The meeting ended with a renewed dedication to carry out the vote counting process in a way that is efficient and transparent. The goal is to ensure that all the necessary steps are taken to ensure a smooth electoral procedure.
