Train Disruptions in Ranchi Division After Chandil-Nimdih Freight Accident

Multiple Trains Cancelled, Routes Altered and Services Partially Curtailed

JAMSHEDPUR – Several passenger trains faced cancellations, diversions and partial terminations after a freight train accident occurred on the Chandil-Neemdih rail section.

The Ranchi Railway Division announced that six trains would remain cancelled. These include Howrah-Hatia KriyaYog Express (18615) and Hatia-Howrah KriyaYog Express (18616) on August 9.

Moreover, Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express (21893) and Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express (21896) on August 10 will also not run. Tatanagar-Hatia-Tatanagar Express (18601/18602) and MEMU (68035/68036) for August 10 are also cancelled.

Three major services will follow diverted routes. Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express (20898) on August 10 will run via Kotshila, Rajabera, Jamuniyatand, Bhojudih, Adra, Medinipur and Kharagpur.

Jaynagar-Tatanagar Express (18120) on August 9 will avoid Bokaro and Muri, travelling instead through Gomo, Adra, Medinipur and Kharagpur. New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Express (22824) on August 9 will follow the same alternate path to HijiIi, bypassing Chāndil.

Additionally, MEMU service 68086 on August 10 will partially terminate at Muri instead of Tatanagar, and another run will start from Muri, skipping the Tatanagar section entirely.

Rail officials have urged passengers to check updated schedules before travel.
