In an effort to achieve maximum voter turnout for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Jamshedpur district administration has launched a comprehensive voter awareness campaign.

JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to achieve maximum voter turnout for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Jamshedpur district administration has launched a comprehensive voter awareness campaign.

The initiative recently included a special program for the youth at SNTI, where they were encouraged to fully exercise their voting rights.

District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar led the event, focusing on the critical role of voting in democracy.

Mittal provided detailed instructions on how to vote, even for those without a voter card, and highlighted extended voting hours from 7 am to 5 pm.

A major push is to ensure every eligible voter’s name is on the list and that they know their polling station location ahead of the election day.

Additionally, citizens were reminded they could use one of 12 approved identity cards to vote if they lack a voter card and were urged to submit Form 6 by April 26 to register.

Acknowledging lower voting rates in rural areas, the ‘Sweep Koshang’ initiative under Manish Kumar aims to boost voter turnout through targeted awareness efforts.

The event culminated with the youth taking the Voter’s Oath, symbolizing their commitment to participate in the electoral process and encouraging others via social media.
