Jamshedpur Sector Officers Train on EVM Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
Comprehensive EVM Training Held for Jamshedpur Election Officials at Ravindra Bhawan
In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jamshedpur, a detailed training session on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was conducted for sector officials at Ravindra Bhawan Auditorium, Sakchi.
JAMSHEDPUR – A one-day intensive training program focusing on the commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was organized for sector officials gearing up for the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha elections.
The event, led by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, featured practical demonstrations and detailed discussions on EVM operations.
Master trainers, including ADM (SOR) Mahendra Kumar, provided insights into setting up control units, ballot units, and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs), along with their sealing procedures.
The training emphasized the critical roles of sector officers in ensuring a smooth electoral process, urging them to familiarize themselves thoroughly with the equipment and procedures.
Further guidance was provided on the importance of checking personal voter registration and the utilization of postal voting by deputed officers to ensure no eligible voter is disenfranchised.
The session was marked by the active participation of key officials like ADM Law and Order Ananth Kumar and Director NEP Ajay Sao, underscoring a unified commitment to a fair electoral process.
This training is part of a broader initiative to ensure that all sector officials are well-prepared to handle their duties effectively during the elections, adhering closely to Election Commission guidelines.
