  • Residents question police patrolling and safety

JAMSHEDPUR – A daytime burglary in Kadma’s Kalindi Road has raised serious concerns about urban safety and police vigilance.

The incident occurred in Kadma under Kadma police station limits. However, thieves targeted a locked house during the day.

The house belongs to Lokesh Kumar Singh, also called Gabbar. Meanwhile, the family was away during the incident.

The accused entered the house by breaking locks. Moreover, they accessed cupboards and searched valuables.

Gold and silver jewelry worth ₹8 to ₹10 lakh was stolen. Additionally, ₹25,000 in cash was taken.

The stolen items included necklaces, earrings, and nose ornaments. Meanwhile, other valuable ornaments were also missing.

Lokesh Kumar works as a crane operator in Bistupur police station. However, he was on duty near Jubilee Park during the incident.

His wife was at work in Tata Steel. Meanwhile, children had gone for tuition classes.

The house remained completely vacant at that time. Therefore, the criminals executed the theft without interruption.

Residents reported panic across Kalindi Road and nearby areas. Moreover, locals expressed fear over rising incidents.

They questioned how such crimes occur in crowded areas. On the other hand, many blamed weak police patrolling.

Residents demanded stronger surveillance and increased patrol frequency. Meanwhile, police have begun an investigation.

Authorities are examining CCTV footage from surrounding areas. Furthermore, efforts are underway to identify suspects.

The case highlights rising concerns in Jamshedpur. However, officials have assured strict action after investigation.
