Ananya Mittal and Kishore Kaushal Oversee Election Preparations for Smooth Polling in Jamshedpur
In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, top Jamshedpur officials have conducted a thorough inspection at Cooperative College to oversee preparations for the handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
JAMSHEDPUR – District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal reviewed the setup at Cooperative College, which is crucial for the dispatch, receipt, and counting of EVMs across multiple constituencies.
Their inspection covered several critical areas including the construction of strong rooms, EVM and VVPAT maintenance, and security measures such as barricading and CCTV surveillance.
Specific attention was given to logistics like parking, signage, traffic plans, and the overall campus security to ensure that election processes run smoothly without disruptions.
Cooperative College is designated as a key location for election activities for three assembly constituencies: 47-Jugsalai, 48-Jamshedpur East, and 49-Jamshedpur West.
Post-election, it will also handle the receiving and counting of EVMs for these areas.
Officials were instructed to ensure the provision of essential amenities such as backup power, medical facilities, adequate seating, drinking water, and toilets to support staff and volunteers during the election period.
An additional inspection at XLRI focused on vehicle parking arrangements, emphasizing the comprehensive approach to managing election logistics.
This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to conducting fair, transparent, and orderly elections.
The presence of multiple officials during the inspections, including City SP Mukesh Lunayat and ADM Law and Order Ananth Kumar, underscores the collective effort to uphold electoral integrity.
