Chief Minister Receives Warm Welcome in Jilinggora on First Visit as CM

Champai Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, visited his native village Jilinggora for the first time since his inauguration, receiving an emotional and warm welcome from villagers, relatives, and JMM workers.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Champai Soren today reached his native village Jilinggora for the first time after having been sworn in as the chief minister.

The Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by his villagers and relatives as well as JMM workers.

Later, he acknowledged that for the first time after becoming the Chief Minister, when he reached his village Jilinggora today, his eyes became moist after seeing the love, cooperation and affection of the villagers, colleagues and workers.

Champai Soren comes from Jilinggora village, some 22 km from Jamshedpur.

His native village falls in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

The Chief Minister also offered prayers at the village Jaherthan.

He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state by offering prayers with full rituals at Jaher Than/Hadgadi and Masna of the village.

He also went to meet the family of his private secretary Guru Prasad Mahato, who was recently bereaved of his father.

He consoled the family.

Earlier in the day, in Ranchi, the Chief Minister held a high level review meeting with the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary of various departments regarding the revenue receipt and expenditure of the Finance Department in the Ministry of Jharkhand.
