Ranchi Police Nab Injured Naxalite Undergoing Treatment in RIMS

A wanted Naxalite, Nirmal Munda, receiving treatment at RIMS Hospital in Ranchi, has been arrested following an intelligence operation by Ranchi Police.

RANCHI – Ranchi Police have apprehended a Naxalite named Nirmal Munda, who was secretly undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital in Ranchi.

According to Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, Munda is a wanted Naxalite from the Kolhan area and was recently injured in an IED blast that he himself had planted.

He sustained serious leg injuries in the blast and initially sought treatment in Kolhan.

However, due to worsening conditions, he moved to RIMS Hospital, claiming he was injured in a road accident.

Police, having received information about Munda’s presence at RIMS, conducted a covert operation to confirm his identity.

Upon verification, he was immediately taken into custody and is currently being treated under police surveillance at RIMS.

Munda, a resident of Adki, Khunti, was active in the Kolhan area.

Ranchi Police have informed the Khunti, Seraikela, and Chaibasa Police about his arrest.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat Naxalite activities and maintain security in the region.
