JAMSHEDPUR – The counting of votes for the Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 will commence on November 23 at the Cooperative College, where strongrooms for East Singhbhum’s six assembly constituencies have been set up.
Senior district officials, including SSP Kishore Kaushal, inspected the arrangements at the strongroom on Friday. He briefed paramilitary forces, JAP personnel, and district police deployed on site, issuing strict instructions to maintain security.
Speaking to the media, SSP Kaushal said, "A three-tier security arrangement is in place at the strongroom. No mobile phones or electronic devices are allowed beyond the second entry point. Authorized personnel entering the strongroom will undergo thorough checks."
Police forces have also been stationed in sufficient numbers around the strongroom area. All police stations in the city are on active mode to ensure a peaceful and smooth counting process.
The stringent measures aim to uphold the integrity of the democratic process as the state awaits the election results.
