JAMSHEDPUR – On Wednesday, South Eastern Railways General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra, along with DRM KR Choudhary and other railway officials, performed a thorough inspection of the Chakulia railway station.
Upon arrival, GM Mishra zeroed in on the state of toilets for passengers.
After discovering the absence of light bulbs and detecting an unpleasant odor in the men’s toilet, the GM sternly reprimanded the station manager, directing him to rectify the situation immediately.
Not stopping there, Mishra scrutinized the foot overbridge connecting platforms one to four.
Citing the curve in its construction, he asked the relevant officials to work towards replacing it with a straight foot overbridge for ease of passenger movement.
Further, the GM toured the control room, gathering technical insights from the station master.
He expressed a desire for the station manager to ensure all amenities are made available to passengers within the station premises.
Concluding the 30-minute inspection, Mishra departed for Ghatshila, indicating that improvements are a top priority.
