Jharkhand CM Alleges Plot to Topple Government Over State Dues

Soren Claims Political Conspiracy Amidst Demand for State Dues

Jharkhand’s CM Hemant Soren asserts a plot to topple his government following his demand for Rs. 1.36 lakh cr in dues from the Centre.

RANCHI -Chief Minister Hemant Soren, while attending the ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ program in Nutandih, Nala, made a startling claim on Wednesday.

He alleged that there are efforts to destabilize his government in response to his demand for Jharkhand’s dues of Rs. 1.36 lakh crore from the central government.

During the event, Soren inaugurated projects worth Rs. 634 crore and distributed assets to beneficiaries.

He emphasized that receiving the outstanding funds would significantly alleviate Jharkhand’s backwardness, increasing pensions and reducing cooking gas prices.

Soren highlighted his government’s focus on rural areas, contrasting it with the previous administration’s city-centric approach.

He acknowledged the historical neglect of Jharkhand, labeling it a "sick state" with high poverty levels.

The Chief Minister announced an expansion of the Savitri Bai Phule Yojana, now including families with more than two daughters, in a move to further support the state’s underprivileged.

Addressing the issue of ration cards, Soren criticized the previous government for deleting 13 lakh cards, while his administration issued 20 lakh new ones.

He also noted the overwhelming response to the ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program, with one crore applications received this time.

Soren concluded by assuring continued support for the poor, including housing initiatives under the ‘Abua Awas’ scheme.

The event was also attended by Speaker Rabindranath Mahato, Labor Planning Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh, and Jamtara MLA Dr. Irfan Ansari.
