Yellow Alert in Jharkhand Due to Severe Heat Wave

Heat Wave Hits Jharkhand with Temperatures Soaring Above 40 Degrees Celsius

Jharkhand has been put under a yellow alert as a severe heat wave engulfs the state, driving temperatures significantly above normal levels.

RANCHI – Jharkhand is grappling with an intense heat wave, with most districts experiencing temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, prompting the issuance of a yellow alert.

The state is expected to endure this scorching heat for four more days, with no significant relief in sight until April 22.

Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Meteorological Center in Ranchi noted that Seraikela-Kharsawan recorded the highest temperature at 44.3 degrees Celsius, closely followed by Jamshedpur at 43.2 degrees Celsius.

The forecast suggests a continuation of the heat wave with strong westerly winds expected on April 20 and 21.

Some districts may see slight relief with anticipated drizzles on April 23, which could cause a marginal drop in temperatures.

This ongoing weather pattern underscores the severity of the heat conditions affecting the region, impacting daily life and health.
