Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West Targets Youth Mental Health in School Session
Mental health session for class XI students at NHES led by Rtn. Preeti Saini and supported by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West.
JAMSHEDPUR – Rotarian. Gurpreet Bhatia, National Secretary for "Jeevan," was acknowledged for her keen dialogue with children on mental and emotional well-being. Providing hotline numbers, she ensured support for stress-related matters.
Prominent Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, including President Rtn. Neeta Agarwal, Secretary Rtn. Ashok Jha, and Members Rtn. Monica Burman, Rtn. Madhulika, Rtn. Anupama Sehgal, Rtn. Sapna Talwar, and Rtn. Radhika Dhandhania, were present at the event.
Distinguished attendees included Varsha Gandhi and Devesh Gandhi from the school committee, along with the principal, Mrs. Paromita Roy Choudhary, accentuating the session’s special significance, especially due to the pressing need to address mental health among various age groups and professions.
The collaborative discussion was guided by Rtn. Preeti Saini, a consultant psychologist, doctoral researcher, counselor, motivational speaker, author, and social activist. Her expertise in areas such as clairvoyance in medicine and spiritual healing offered students valuable insights into maintaining mental and emotional health.
Aiming to tackle mental health issues at a young age globally, the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West embarked on an extensive project focusing on school children. They organized a session on "Mental Health & Well-Being," attended by 110 class XI students at Narbheram Hansraj English School.
