Initiative Aims to Empower Mukhi Community with Stress Management Techniques

Jeevan Suicide Prevention Centre in Jamshedpur organized a mental health awareness programme at the Mukhi Social Welfare Center, near Tata Football Academy, to provide vital emotional support and equip participants with essential knowledge on stress management, recognizing depression symptoms, and extending support to those in need.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a proactive effort to tackle mental health issues and offer crucial emotional support, Jeevan Suicide Prevention Centre in Jamshedpur conducted an awareness programme at the Mukhi Social Welfare Center, near Tata Football Academy, to empower the Mukhi community with essential information and resources on stress management, identifying depression symptoms, and supporting individuals facing mental health challenges.

For individuals experiencing mental health problems or in need of emotional support, Jeevan offers a lifeline of support available from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, 365 days a year.

As a tangible symbol of their commitment, plans were announced to install Jeevan board within the center, serving as a reminder of the collective responsibility towards mental health.

Attendees at the event pledged to prioritize mental well-being and vowed to seek emotional support in times of crisis. They also committed to extending assistance to those in distress before taking any drastic actions.

Strategies for providing support to individuals grappling with mental health challenges were emphasized.
