Youth Commits Suicide in Sonari, Jamshedpur

33-year-old youth, a drug victim, found hanging at home.

A youth from Kumbharpada, under Sonari police station, ended his life by hanging himself on Wednesday night.

JAMSHEDPUR – A 33-year-old man, A Kumar, from Kumbharpada in the Sonari police station area, committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday night around 10:15 PM.

His family discovered him and rushed him to TMH hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

A Kumar, who was a drug addict, had been unemployed for several days after previously working in gas supply.

His elder brother mentioned that Ajay had been staying at home and appeared distressed.

On the night of the incident, Ajay went to the roof, saying he was going to sleep.

When his mother went to give him water, she found him hanging from a rod with a belt.

The deceased was unmarried.

The family notified the police, who conducted a post-mortem and returned the body to the family on Thursday.

This tragic incident highlights the severe impact of addiction and the need for mental health support.

A family member expressed, “We never thought it would come to this; he needed help.”

Authorities urge those struggling with similar issues to seek help and support.
