Flag march in Jamshedpur, police machinery on high alert on Ram Navami
SDO, City SP, Dy SPs take part in flag march; all processions to conclude by 8 p.m.: SSP
Jamshedpur: The district police today conducted a flag march in Jamshedpur to send a message of security and safety to the citizens and to check the preparedness of the police machinery to deal with any untoward incident during Ram Navami festival ceelebrations.
All preparations are in place to ensure security during the festival and processions.
The SSP Prabhat Kumar said that the senior police officers, including the City SP, SDO and the Dy SPs took part in the flag march and they were asked to ensure that all the directives are fully complied with in the entire city.
The SSP Prabhat Kumar said that the police conducted a flag march on Wednesday to demonstrate the readiness of the law and order apparatus in advance of the processions scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

He said that as decided in the Central Peace Committee meeting earlier, all the processions would conclude by 8 p.m. at night.
To ensure that the citizens get a sense of safety and security, the Deputy Commissioner and the District Superintendent of Police are personally checking each Akhada and the procession’s route.

On Thursday, the flag march began at the PCR premises and finished after traversing through different parts of the city in two groups. It then proceeded back to the PCR Premises.
The district’s senior authorities have made it plain that anyone who disrupts the festivities in any way would face harsh punishment from the district administration.
In order to organize the Ram Navami celebration peacefully and guarantee the safety and security of all residents, the district administration is well prepared, the SSP added.

For the two days, the processions will be closely watched by the police and other law enforcement organizations to make sure they go off without a hitch.
