Dr. Nagendra Singh of Ganga Memorial Hospital performs life-saving operation for underprivileged patient

Renowned surgeon continues tradition of providing free medical care to those in need, successfully removing massive tumor from Ghatsila woman.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Nagendra Singh of Ganga Memorial Hospital has once again demonstrated his commitment to serving the underprivileged by performing a complex, life-saving surgery free of charge.

The doctor removed a 32 kg tumor from the stomach of Soren Nandini, a resident of Edal Beda village in Ghatsila subdivision.

"Dr. Singh is truly a godsend for us," expressed Soren Karu, Nandini’s husband, overcome with emotion.

Nandini’s condition was discovered during a free medical camp organized by Dr. Singh on June 16, 2024.

Unable to afford the Rs lakh operation cost quoted elsewhere, the farming family found hope in Dr. Singh’s generosity.

"We couldn’t have afforded this treatment, but Dr. Sahab’s camp gave us a new lease on life," Karu added.

Dr. Singh, assisted by Dr. Pratap Rudra and their team, successfully performed the complex procedure.

The surgeon covered all expenses, including medicines, food, and travel, from the initial camp through to the operation.

Nandini has now fully recovered, bringing immense relief and joy to her family.

This act of kindness reinforces Dr. Singh’s reputation as a messiah for the poor in the Jamshedpur region.
