Jharkhand Reshuffles 65 Officials Ahead of Assembly Elections
State transfers SDOs and key administrators in large-scale bureaucratic move

RANCHI – The Jharkhand government has implemented a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring 65 state service officials in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections.
The state administration has executed a substantial reorganization of its bureaucracy.
In this sweeping change, 65 officials from various state services have been reassigned.
Moreover, the reshuffle encompasses several sub-divisional officers (SDOs).
Notably, Shruti Rajlakshmi, who was previously unassigned, has been appointed as the new SDO of Chakradharpur.
Meanwhile, Sulochana Meena has taken on the role of SDO in Palamu.
On Friday, the department of personnel, administrative reforms and official language issued the official notice detailing these transfers.
Furthermore, this administrative shake-up comes as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly elections.
Several officers who were awaiting postings have now been given new responsibilities.
In addition, Parul Singh, formerly the SDO of Jamshedpur, has been transferred to a new position.
Shatabdi Majumdar, previously the project director of ITDA, will now serve as the new SDO of Jamshedpur.
On the other hand, Amrendra Kumar, who was the ADM (Law and Order), has been reassigned as the Deputy Secretary in the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation.
Ajay Kumar Sahu, who held the positions of NEP Director and ADC in-charge, has been moved to the role of Secretary of the Kolhan Transport Authority.
A senior government official commented on the reshuffle, stating, "This transfer is part of our routine administrative restructuring."
The official further explained that the aim is to ensure smooth functioning across all departments, especially in preparation for the upcoming elections.
Additionally, Ranjit Lohra, who was the Additional Commissioner of Mango Municipal Corporation, has been posted as the deputy secretary in the health department.
Executive Officer Sumit Prakash has been transferred to the Rural Development Department.
In contrast, the outgoing District Welfare Officer Rajendra Gupta has been replaced by Shankaracharya, who previously served as the DTO of Seraikela.
Lastly, Aniket Sachan, formerly the SDO of Khunti, has been appointed as the new ADM (Law and Order).
