Marking the successful completion of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) initiative on Environment Day, Jamshedpur honors dedicated environmentalists at a grand event at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The RRR. campaign in Jamshedpur concluded with a grand celebration at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, on the occasion of International Environment Day.
The campaign aimed at environmental preservation involved active efforts to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, particularly by curbing the usage of plastic items.
Coordinated by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) and Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco) Management, thirty RRR. centers were set up across the city during the fortnight-long campaign.
These centers served as collection points for unused household items, encouraging residents to recycle and decrease plastic usage.
The concluding event saw the presence of the district’s Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and senior officials from Tata Steel and other companies.
It also included an award ceremony, recognizing individuals who had made significant contributions to environmental protection.
