Jamshedpur: A walkathon was organized by IMA Jamshedpur on the occasion of World Diabetes Day on Monday.
Member doctors of IMA and medical students participated in the walkathon and underlined the message of keeping diabetes at bay..
This walkathon started out from Modi Park located in Bistupur.
Dr. Sahir Paul, the civil surgeon of the district was also present in the gathering.
He was accompanied by a large number of senior doctors and medical students of the city.
The program stressed the need to spread awareness about the debilitating effect of diabetes and the ways to keep the disease under control.
The participants underscored the need to focus on prevention of the onset of diabetes.
