Tata Steel Clears Encroachment in Sakchi

Demolition Drive by Tata Steel Near Old Karim Talkies Affects Local Shop

Tata Steel’s security team takes action against encroachments, leading to the removal of a longstanding shop near the old Karim Talkies in Sakchi.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dulal Chandra Pramanik, the shop owner affected by the demolition, voiced his surprise and sadness, stating he was unaware of the planned action until it was already underway.

He lamented the loss of his merchandise, which was damaged during the demolition of his shop that had been operational for four decades.

Pramanik emphasized that he had not been given any warning prior to the demolition, undermining his opportunity to safeguard his goods or contest the decision.

The sudden demolition of Dulal Chandra Pramanik’s establishment by Tata Steel security personnel marks a significant move in the ongoing effort to address encroachments.

This action, part of a broader initiative to reclaim space near the old Karim Talkies, has sparked a conversation on the need for prior notice and compensation for affected parties.
