JAMSHEDPUR – Seven migrant laborers from Jharkhand died after soil collapsed at a worksite in Haryana, leaving several others injured.

A sudden soil collapse struck a construction site in Haryana. Seven workers died while several others suffered injuries.

Meanwhile, rescue teams reached the accident site soon after the collapse. They began removing debris and searching for trapped workers.

Moreover, victims included laborers from Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts. Several workers from Jadugora and Ichagarh areas were among the dead.

Four victims came from Bangoda village of East Singhbhum district. They had travelled together for work outside the state.

Meanwhile, the deceased were identified as Dhananjay Mahto, Bhagirath Gop, Sanjit Gop alias Dulal, and Mangal Mahto. All belonged to Bangoda village.

In contrast, two victims were residents of Ichagarh area. They were identified as Shiv Shankar Singh Munda and Parmeshwar Mahto.

Meanwhile, the tragedy triggered deep mourning in Bangoda village. Four deaths from one village shocked the entire community.

Moreover, villagers said all workers left home after celebrating Tusu festival. They initially travelled to Delhi for employment.

However, contractors later shifted them to Haryana for underground work. Families said the workers planned to return home during Durga Puja.

Meanwhile, grieving relatives said the victims left behind young children. Several families suddenly lost their main earners.

Moreover, villagers accused the company of ignoring safety measures at the worksite. They alleged laborers worked underground without protective arrangements.

However, residents demanded immediate return of the bodies to villages. They also demanded compensation and government assistance.

Meanwhile, migrant worker tragedies often raise concerns across Jamshedpur and Jharkhand. Similar rescue operations occurred during the Uttarkashi tunnel crisis.
