JAMSHEDPUR – Shashikant Sharma, a 28-year-old e-rickshaw driver, drowned while bathing in Chhota Banki Dam on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of MGM Police Station in the Jugsalai Assembly area.

Sharma, a resident of Sakchi, went to the dam with five friends but ventured into deep water while bathing and tragically drowned.

Despite extensive searches by locals, Sharma has not been found.

Local police and rescue teams, along with Sharma’s family, have been informed and are continuing the search.

BJP leader Vimal Baitha also visited the site upon hearing about the incident.
