After Rescue from Uttarkashi Tunnel Six Dumaria Workers Return Home
Workers Thank Governments and Jharkhand CM’s Initiatives for Saving Them from Tunnel
Jharkhand Government’s prompt action lauded by six workers, they express gratitude for theirr safe return and welfare.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a remarkable rescue operation, six workers from Dumaria block of East Singhbhum district were brought to the district headquarters from Ranchi by the district administration after being rescued from the Silkyara Tunnel accident in Uttarakhand.
Their prompt homecoming was notably initiated by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, ensuring their safe return on Friday evening.
District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner facilitated their return home.Two Labor Department officials were tasked to bring the workers from Ranchi to East Singhbhum, where they were honored in a function at the Collectorate Auditorium.
The Governor of Jharkhand, unable to attend the felicitation, was represented by Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar and Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum Mr. Piyush Sinha.
Rescued workers, including Mr. Tinku Sardar, Mr. Gundhar Nayak, Mr. Ranjit Lohar, Mr. Ravindra Nayak, Mr. Sameer Nayak, Mr. Bhuktu Murmu, and Mr. Mahadev Nayak, were gifted body clothes and shawls as a token of appreciation.
The District Magistrate commended the workers’ courage and patience during the crisis and expressed happiness for their safe return.
In line with the Chief Minister’s orders, all six workers will be integrated into various government welfare schemes, including housing, pension, health, agriculture, employment, and livestock support.
The workers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and the state government for the support and encouragement received during and after the rescue operation.
