RANCHI – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nearly completed seat-sharing arrangements with its allies for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP’s co-election in-charge, confirmed the party’s alliance with AJSU and JD(U) for the polls.
Moreover, he stated that 99% of seat allocation has been finalized.
The remaining seats are expected to be decided shortly.
Meanwhile, the official announcement will be made after Pitru Paksha concludes.
On the other hand, sources suggest JD(U) may contest from Jamshedpur East and Tamar constituencies.
Saryu Rai is likely to be JD(U)’s candidate from Jamshedpur East.
Furthermore, former MLA Raja Peter might represent JD(U) in Tamar.
However, the final candidate list will be released after seat-sharing is completed.
In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Ranchi on October 2.
The BJP aims to showcase its alliance strength during this event.
Meanwhile, Raja Peter, a former BJP member, is seeking a ticket through the alliance.
Despite BJP’s reluctance due to serious charges against him, Peter remains a frontrunner for alliance candidacy.
