East Singhbhum Weapon Check Before Elections

License holders must verify arms for Lok Sabha election integrity in East Singhbhum.

In East Singhbhum, a significant initiative to verify all arms licenses has been announced to safeguard the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has taken a decisive step to ensure the Lok Sabha elections are conducted in a peaceful and fair manner in East Singhbhum district.

Holders of arms licenses issued outside of East Singhbhum but residing within the district are also called to participate in this verification process.

Failure to comply with the verification schedule may lead to the confiscation of weapons and subsequent legal repercussions.

Residents of East Singhbhum district are mandated to present their licensed weapons for verification at their local police stations from March 28th to March 30th, 2024.

The verification process, taking place at the police station level, aims to confirm the authenticity and legality of all licensed weapons in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Mittal’s instructions underline the significance of this verification process in maintaining the integrity of the electoral system.
